We hear over and over that we are all one and that we heal the world by healing ourselves. For many people that is just talk because it is challenging to fully accept the interconnection of all things. Not just the interconnection of all humanity but of all things.

Martin Luther King, Jr., as always, said it brilliantly:

“It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.”

We are inescapably connected through our DNA. Science is making great strides in showing how similar the DNA is between human beings and even between human beings and the animal kingdom. Eventually, they will show that what they call junk DNA and inactivated DNA, connects all things. We are truly one great interconnection.

There is a Buddhist saying that when you hear that all beings are Buddha, don’t fall into the error of thinking there’s more than one Buddha.

We are not separate Buddhas working as one. Instead, we are individual aspects of the one Buddha. We are not separate aspects of Source working as one. We are unique and interconnected expressions of the one Source. Separation is merely a misperception.

Meditate on this daily. Feel the oneness, the interconnection, daily. It is who you are. It is who we all are.

Be one and be one now. No one has to wait. We just have to choose.

Your mirrors are like your dreams. Everyone is you. The ancient spiritual teaching that everyone we meet is, in some way, a mirror of who we are is as important today as it was the first day it was voiced. Many people balk at this notion but it is the same principle that psychologists apply to our dreams.

The Principles of Mirrors and Dreams

Psychologists know that unresolved issues and “subconscious residue” come to our awareness through our dreams. This is why many therapists request a dream journal for review in sessions. Psychologists also understand that because the issues are ours, every character in a dream represents us. Everyone in your dreams is you.

The metaphysical principle of mirrors is the same. When we realize that we are all one and that everyone is an aspect of Source, we realize that everyone we meet is connected to us and, therefore, reflects something about who we are in relationship to ourselves and others. Unfortunately, the principle of mirrors is often misunderstood and this powerful tool for growth often goes unused.

The reflections in our mirrors are based on our perceptions of people and situations. What you see in someone might not be what I see in someone because we have different perceptions based on what we have each healed or not healed. Something bothers you might not bother me and vice versa.

What Does It Mean?

The reflections we see in the mirrors of those around us take many forms and might not be as obvious as what appears on the surface. Something that we dislike in another person could be a direct mirror of a trait in ourselves that we have denied. Or, the mirror image could be subtler.

Another mirror is the mirror of judgment. Maybe you are always on time and find yourself judging those who are late. Perhaps this pushes your buttons because somewhere, in this life or another, you created problems by being late and have not forgiven yourself; or you were hurt by someone being late and you project that pain onto others rather than forgiving the past; or you still believe time is real and put more importance on it than is appropriate. There are other possibilities as well. The point is, this is your mirror because it is your issue.

Just like our dreams are mirrors of us, our memories are mirrors of us as well. Some time ago, I found myself obsessed with the memory of an incident with a friend. I knew I had forgiven her for what had happened, so why could I not get this out of my mind? The answer, of course, was that I had not fully forgiven myself, so the mirror kept reflecting my issues until I realized what I still needed to heal.

Owning Our Light and Our Shadow

There are endless examples of how those around us reflect our issues. When we truly understand that we are all one, understanding the mirror principle is easy. As long as we perceive ourselves as separate from others, we tend to reject the mirrors.

It is very important to remember that people also mirror all of the beauty and greatness that we are as well. We can get so focused on what we want to improve in ourselves that we forget to recognize how glorious we already are. Please, look for those positively affirming mirrors.

When we are aware of the mirrors around us, we will learn what we need to recognize and accept about ourselves. Pay attention to the people around you. They bring the messages that will help you grow and help you appreciated who you already are.

Remember that this is your illusion and you are creating what you need for your ascension. Your perception of everyone and everything is the important factor, not what others might believe or perceive. The meaning of your mirrors is for you, not for others.

Your mirrors are like your dreams. Everyone is you. Trying to run from your dreams does not work. Trying to run from your mirrors does not work either. Embrace it all and find your perfection.

One of my favorite old jokes is, “How many therapists does it take to change a light bulb? Only one, but the light bulb really has to want to change.”

Some believe that people never change, that human beings are actually incapable of change. Not true. However, people do have to want to change. We cannot be forced to go where we do not want to go.

Part of making change possible is the willingness to see who we are now and know that it is OK to be who we are even though we want something more. To quote the brilliant psychologist, Carl Rogers,

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”

Another way to say this is that we must step out of denial to create change. We cannot heal what we will not own as ours. Blame and victimization do not get us anywhere. They certainly do not make us stronger or make our lives better.

It has been said that successful therapy depends on two things – a smart therapist and a smart client who is willing to be honest. When we can allow everything to be what it is now and allow ourselves to look within with total honesty, we can create the changes we desire. When we stop judging everything as right or wrong, good or bad, better or worse, we can create miracles.

Be willing to accept, free of all judgment, who you are at this moment as perfect for this stage of your growth. Allow that you are a work in progress just like the rest of humanity. Then allow the change that you want to come.

Everything you want is waiting for you if you are willing to go where you need to go. Be the light bulb that really wants to change. Start shining today and do not stop.

What are you looking for and where do you think you will find it? One of the great spiritual one-liners is that all of our answers are inside ourselves. Is that where you are looking?

Many people refer to themselves as seekers. This is a long-used term for those searching for the answers, searching for spiritual truth and wisdom. Even I use similar terminology when I speak of the journey, the path, the road. But these are only metaphors for the process of remembering.

Nothing is out there. Everything is in here.

Everything is in here. Nothing can be found, only remembered. As my God-Self used to say to me:

“What you are looking for does not exist.”

What we experience in the outer world is merely to jog our memories of who we are as spiritual masters. The outer world is the mirror of where we are at each moment in our spiritual “journey” of remembering. Each reflection is a reminder of what we have healed and what we have not. Each reminder is an insight as to what we have fully remembered, what we have fully mastered, and what we have not.

Our spiritual recovery demands going within and focusing on doing what raises our frequency. We regain our spiritual memory as our frequency goes higher. We can use the outer world as a platform but nothing we truly need is out there. It is all in here.

Meditation is always the first step. We need to get out of our physical, emotional, and mental bodies to experience our true spiritual state. However, it is also important to remember that we chose to have this physical experience as a way of learning about ourselves. We can consciously use the outer world to help us remember who we are.

Here are some steps to take.

  • Be ready to be totally honest with yourself about who you are now, not who you want to believe you are.
  • Be present in each moment and recognize the mirrors. All the great masters and great teachings talk about the importance of being present. However, if you are present but not observing and owning the mirrors, you are missing excellent opportunities for personal insights and transformation.
  • Be aware of all that you are thinking, feeling, saying, and doing at each moment. Be present with your actions and motivations to gain an understanding of who you are at this stage of your evolution.
  • Take what you learn into meditation. Ask Source to help you heal and move deeper into your memory of your spiritual self.
  • Use forms of energy work to raise your frequency: resonances, reiki, toning, singing, dancing, laughing, and whatever gets you spiritually high.

As long as we are looking outside ourselves for answers instead of insights, the longer the recovery of our spiritual memory takes. What you are looking for out there does not exist. Dissolve the illusion and know who you are as love, as light, as a spiritual master. Your journey is perfect. Embrace it. Use it. Evolve through it. Use it to remember who you are.

Sing God’s name in all that you do. We can each define Source, the God/Goddess, the Creator in a way that works for us.

Whichever words you use, be present with the love of creation every day. Be aware that,

Divine Reverence is a foundational principle of Eastern wisdom. The ability to be fully present and participate in each moment with Divine Reverence brings a peace and connection to all things that rushing through life will never bring. To quote the beloved Thich Nhat Hanh:

“Drink your tea slowly and reverently, as if it is the axis on which the world earth revolves –

slowly, evenly, without rushing toward the future.”

Do not get caught in the illusion of what is important. Do not give your power to the structure by which others live their lives. Instead, drink your tea slowly and know the importance of who you are in each moment. Be reverent in every thought and deed. Let Divine Reverence be your focus this week, this month, this year.

The end of the year is a perfect time for looking at the bigger picture of where we are in our evolution.

A new year is beginning. My husband and I are starting 2018 in Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, Arizona. This is one of Mother Nature’s most beautiful arrays of cacti and desert plants and a place we both love. However, where we are beginning this new year in the outer world is much less important than where we are in the inner world.

A Time for Self-Evaluation

I do a self-evaluation each day when I do my meditation and energy work. I ask my God-Self for percentages of healing and improvement in specific areas that have my attention. Many of you already have the same practice. The end of the year is a perfect time for looking at the bigger picture of where we are in our evolution.

We are used to evaluating ourselves based on our outer world accomplishments and our level of satisfaction with how well various things in our lives are flowing. Based on “as within, so without,” we know that how easily our outer world flows (or does not flow) is a mirror of what is happening with us on the inner. But too often, we put more emphasis on what “improvements” have happened “out there” than observing and honoring what improvements have happened “in here.”

Almost everyone on the planet is starting this new year at a higher frequency than last year. Yes, some people are stuck and some are even moving backward; but, these are the exceptions, not the rule. If you are reading this post, you are definitely moving higher in frequency or you would not have found your way here. Take time to value how wonderful you are, how far you have come, and what you have to look forward to in 2018.

Four Questions for the New Year

I recommend keeping it simple. Here are four questions to take to your God-Self in your meditation chair as a self-evaluation for moving into the new year. These questions are not much different from the traditional ones we ask for a year-end evaluation of our 3-D goals. However, these questions are about spiritual evolution, not outer world appearances, and do not have outer world yardsticks to give us the answers.

Use whatever process suits you to be sure that you are clearly connected and ready to listen to your guidance for answers.

  1. What was my overall frequency level in January 2017? There are many ways to approach this evaluation depending on the program you follow or your dominant psychic skills.
  • A clairvoyant might ask to see her energy field from last year.
  • A kinesthetic might ask to feel his energy field from last year.
  • A clairsentient or claircognizant might ask to be given her energy from last year as a number for her baseline.
  1. What is my overall frequency now? Take time to give yourself credit for how far you have come, for how far you have expanded since last year.
  1. What are the areas in which I have really improved? Again, take time for self-acknowledgment and gratitude.
  1. What are the two major energies on which I should focus in the new year? Last year my focus was Divine Peace and Pure Joy. In 2018 my focus is Unconditional Love and Divine Mercy. What is yours?

From here, you can ask personal questions or ask for help with action steps for moving into the new year.

A Time to Rejoice

Flipping the calendar to the new year is only one metaphor for the passage of time but it is one that is so easy for us to use. It is important to remember that this is a time for celebration, a time for looking both backward and forward with gratitude and appreciation. It is a time to rejoice in how we have improved and for the opportunities to start again.

I am looking forward to a truly grand 2018. No matter how the outer world might look, I know that I am the master of my inner world and that is all that counts. The outer world is the illusion we create for our learning and growing. The inner world is our truth and our greatness. Rejoice in who you are and how far you have come. Happy New Year MH

Much Love and Happy New Year to All

Are you still holding on to the experiment? Why? The Experiment in Duality is over but are you ready and willing to let it go? Are you ready and willing to know yourself as Source, to know yourself as pure love? These questions may seem like no-brainers but if they were, we would be home in the light already. Maybe we are not as ready as we want to think we are.

What is the experiment?

I have written many posts and a book about the experiment so I will not spend much time repeating the details here. In short, the Experiment in Duality is an experiment in the separation from the Divine Will of Source. It began during the age of Atlantis and is finally coming to an end.

The Experiment in Duality was created to expand our knowledge of unconditional love and to test our abilities as great beings of light. We volunteered to come into the darkness of temporary amnesia to learn about the energies of separation, to push the edge of the envelope of evolution, and return to the light. What seemed easy on the surface was more challenging than expected. However, we are finally on the edge of completion for those who are ready to go home.

An experiment is a test, a trial or tentative procedure, especially one for discovering something unknown or testing a principle or procedure. We have learned all that we can learn about duality and separation from our love and light. The experiment has been a rousing success. Now it is time to dismantle the stage set and throw a great cast party. It is time to let go of the pain, know only love, and move on to the next project.

The challenge of letting go

I found a lovely poem by the 14th Century Sufi poet, Hafiz.

Just sit there right now. Don’t do a thing. Just rest. For your separation from God is the hardest work in this world.

Let me bring you trays of food and something that you like to drink.

You can use my soft words as a cushion for your head.

The experience of separation may be the hardest work we have done in the history of creation. We have learned what is required for unconditional love–love no matter what–but forgiveness does not come as easily as it should. We understand that our true nature is light but we have been in the darkness a long time. For many, the light seems unattainable, but it is not. The light shines in each one of us no matter what our experiences here have been. We simply need to be ready and willing to see it, feel it, and accept it. It is time to stop holding on to the experiment as real because it is not.

How many times have you heard me say that? Hundreds, I am sure.  Because lessons are repeated until learned, I will be guided to keep saying that until we all get it 100%, including me. I have not ascended yet either.

Stop holding on

It really is simple: non-judgment, acceptance, forgiveness. It is time to make the process as easy as it is simple. Stop holding on to the pain of separation. Follow Hafiz’ words.

  1. Be still. Do not do a thing. We do not find salvation through what we do. We find it through becoming love, through the resonances of non-judgment, acceptance, and forgiveness. Let go of the need to do things and allow yourself to let go of everything that gives you pain.
  1. Enjoy life. Take time to nurture yourself physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It is not only OK to be good to yourself, it is essential. What do you think self-love is? It is loving yourself in all ways no matter what.
  1. Surround yourself in loving thoughts and words. Immerse yourself in what reinforces love. Allow yourself to be loved and let go of the pain of separation.

We each have choices to make every day that either move us closer to love and the end of duality or move us further from love and keep us stuck. These choices seem difficult to the lower-self because the lower-self wants to believe that the physical world is real. The lower-self wants to believe that the physical world is important.

Stop holding on to the illusion. Let go of ego-gratification. Shift your focus from the turmoil of the outer world to the beauty of the inner world. Remember that you are a child of light.

Use my soft words as a cushion for your head

You are a unique, important, and cherished aspect of Source. There is an old saying, “God don’t make no mistakes.” Grammar aside, this only seems to hold until judgment creeps in and people find themselves in the rights and wrongs of religious teachings. Religions are man-made. To Source, there are no mistakes. There are only roads to learning. There is only the divine purpose in every experience.

As a unique, important, and cherished aspect of Source, you have been designed to explore. Not only have you explored, you have done it brilliantly. You have pushed the envelope of duality and separation to its limit and now it is time to relax. Now, it is time to enjoy the fruits of your labor and know the joy of being alive. It really is simple: non-judgment, acceptance, forgiveness.

Clear your subconscious of all past life memories. Embrace only the perfection of who you are in this moment. You are beautiful. You are love and light of Source. Let go of anyone and anything that tells you that you are not. Stop buying into the illusion and know yourself as Source knows you–whole, complete, and perfect.

If you are guided, you can get more details on the Experiment in Duality and how to end it in Ascension: The End of Duality. Whichever path you choose, find one that helps you let go. Stop holding on to what gives you pain. Stop holding on to the experiment and know yourself as pure love.

Divine Hope is not what most people believe hope to be. In 3rd-dimensional consciousness, hope is wanting something to happen and thinking or believing that it could. Many people hold positively to hope and others cling to hope with desperation. This means that sometimes hope lifts us up and sometimes it pulls us down.

In 5th-dimensional consciousness, hope is the absolute knowing that everything is going to be good in the end. Divine Hope is pure magic but it is also challenging to master. Divine Hope requires absolute faith and trust in our process. The ego wants to know when the end is going to be and who defines what is good. The Divine-Self knows there is no need to ask those questions.

Divine Hope transcends the illusion

Mastering the illusion is the big challenge. Both the illusion of our separation from Source and the illusion that the 3-D world is real must be transcended. Divine Hope transcends the expectations and outcomes of the physical, emotional, and mental worlds. Divine Hope takes us to the end of our worldly experiences to the time when we are healed and ready to ascend, to the time when we know ourselves as unconditional love and eternal life.

In the state of Divine Hope, we feel no fear, no worry, no discord. We know that whatever is happening now (or might happen in the future) is leading us home to Source. We are able to take everything in stride with detachment and discernment for the highest good of all. There is no need to question the short run because we have complete trust in the long run.

Consider how much time most people spend worrying about outcomes. How much energy is wasted on worry and effort over what the ego “wants?” When we give our power to what is happening in the outer world instead of how we are growing in the inner world, we lose sight of what is important. What matters is how we grow spiritually, not what is happening in the illusion.

Divine Hope helps keep us focused on the goal of spiritual evolution instead of trapped in worldly outcomes. It reminds us that we are all headed to Ascension no matter what. Divine Hope reminds us to let go, to trust, and to keep moving. The Divine-Self knows there is nothing to be concerned over, nothing to fear, and every reason to know that everything is going to be good in the end (no matter how many lives it might take).

Mastering Divine Hope

What you have just read may sound like gobbledygook or splitting hairs. I know it did for me the first time I tried to sort this out. It is difficult to put 5th-dimensional feeling states into 3rd-dimensional language and Divine Hope is a feeling state. It is an experience.

The ego-self wants assurances that what it wants to happen will happen. Getting the ego-self to trust that the end will be good without knowing when that end will be is not easy. It is simple but it is not easy because the ego-self does not like the unknown. The bliss of Oneness and the ecstasy of Ascension are yet to be experienced.

Trusting and surrendering to the knowingness of our Divine-Self is what we have to do. Putting ourselves into the feeling state of Divine Hope is essential to the knowing that all will be well in the end, no matter what it looks like now. Remembering that this is only one of the many lives that have brought us to this point in time can help. This is only one of many lives that are part of our evolution and the experiences of each of these lives are important to our ultimate mastery.

Sit in meditation and ask to feel the energy of Divine Hope. Fill with the resonance of Divine Hope every day. Ask your guidance for help in understanding and trusting the difference in 3-D and 5-D hope. It is the experience that brings us peace, not the words. It is the knowingness of our divinity that frees us from the illusion, not what we do or say.

The magic of Divine Hope can be yours. Just feel it and trust.

As we honor and celebrate the mothers of the world this weekend, let’s remember to celebrate the Divine Mother as well. She is our true mother. She is the Mother God. Without her feminine energy and her will, we could not be here.

We know the importance of balancing our masculine and feminine energies. As spiritual beings, we are created from both Divine Male and Divine Female energy just as we are created by our fathers and mothers as humans. On Father’s Day, let’s honor God, the Divine Father. On Mother’s Day, let’s honor the Goddess, the Divine Mother, in conjunction with our earthly mothers. They are all important to us.

The Divine Mother

I am a big fan of Autobiography of a Yogi by Paramahansa Yogananda for many reasons. All those reasons are connected to his openness about his arrogance, entitlement, and other dense emotions to be healed. The death of Yogananda’s mother when he was a teenager was devastating to him and he grieved for many years. One day while grieving her loss, he heard the voice of the Divine Mother speak loudly and clearly to him. She reminded Yogananda that she was his true mother and that she had always, and would always, be with him. He was never alone.

Yogananda had been teaching others to love and trust the Divine Mother for years. However, he had not fully embraced that truth until the moment he let her love in completely. That brief message dissolved his grief and changed his life. He never forgot his earthly mother but he allowed the Goddess, the Divine Mother, into Her rightful place.

Last week I was looking for packing tape in one of the large box stores. A father came up beside me in the aisle with his two sons in his shopping cart. The oldest boy, probably six years old, immediately asked me if I knew about the Mother God. He was extremely excited and animated. I was both delighted and amazed.

He went on for almost five minutes about the Mother God and how she loved us and would take care of us. He barely took a breath as he shared Bible stories he was learning at his church. I looked at his father who simply shrugged his shoulders and said, “I hope it lasts.” Me, too!

Celebrating Mothers’ Day

On May 14th of this year, we honor and celebrate our mothers for bringing us into this life. On Mother’s Day, we collectively remember the wonderful women who have given us the time, love, and energy. Whether these women are our mothers, grandmothers, aunts, or others, we cherish them for who they are to us.

In addition to honoring the important women in our lives, let’s all take the time to remember and celebrate the Goddess, too. She is the Divine Mother, our Mother God. She is the heart of our feminine energy and power. Her love is eternal and unconditional. She has always, and will always, stand with us, support us, and encourage us to be all that we can.

Remember the young boy I met in the store and his enthusiasm for the Mother God. Be both grateful and excited about her presence and rejoice.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the beautiful and beloved mothers on this planet. Namaste.
